Under the Apron Strings: Egypt

Alton and I traveled to Egypt recently – exploring all it has to offer. The first night in Cairo we enjoyed a unique private dinner aboard a traditional felucca boat as we cruised down the mighty River Nile. While on the boat, we were served a traditional 3-course meal in an enchanting setting among the hotels, bridges and skyline of Cairo.

Our next stop? Giza. The only surviving site of the original Seven Wonders of the ancient world. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx statue were absolutely breathtaking. Perhaps the most amazing part was entering the Great Pyramid of Cheops – also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three pyramids.
